ATTENTION ALL ARTISTS! Would you like your artwork to be featured in Verdadera’s last issue of the school year?
Verdadera will be publishing an issue which compiles the best student submissions from past years. Verdadera is looking for creative and artistic individuals to design our cover page and inside illustrations. Art may be drawings, sketches, paintings, photos, etc. and may be handmade or digital.
Cover page must be in color and inside illustrations will be printed in black and white. The cover page and inside illustrations should focus on the central question: “What does truthfully mean to you?” or can be inspired by one of the Verdadera themes featured in the past (drugs, crime, influence, etc.)
All submissions must be sent to verdadera.mvhs@gmail.com by April 30th. Have fun!

Attention all freshmen and sophomores…Verdadera is in search of dedicated, committed individuals to join our staff for the upcoming year!
Verdadera is a publication created by and for Monta Vista High School students for the purpose of instigating communication concerning the reality of high school within the community. Meaning “truthfully” in Spanish, Verdadera, is a bluntly honest publication mailed home to all MV families each month discussing issues that MVHS students face. It is comprised of real-life experiences submitted anonymously by MVHS students and alumni, professional advice on the issue, and resources compiled by the staff.
If you would like to learn more about Verdadera, check out our issues tab and read through some of our past issues. To apply click here. Applications are due on Saturday, March 23 at 11:59 pm.
Meetings are the first and last Sunday of each month.
If you have any questions feel free to contact verdadera.mvhs@gmail.com
“At first I thought she had just become clinically insane, but now that I know the real reason, I really wish it was just the fact that she was clinically insane. Apparently she’s recently started her womanly voodoo (that thing that happens once a month) and that’s why she’s been turned into satan himself as if I don’t have enough to deal with already at a school like Monta Vista. But it’s okay though because I’ve got one more year of high school left and then I’ll be off to college. At least I won’t be there to see my second sister get her womanly voodoo - now that’s just pure evil. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, but two women … no thanks.”
Feel free to peruse our archives for past issues while you wait for the publishing of our new issue (:
